NADH is a co-enzyme involved in the manufacture of ATP (energy) in the Krebs cycle. Niacin (nicotinic acid) is converted to nicotinamide (niacinamide), which is converted in the body to NAD. NAD+ then picks up 2 hydrogen electrons producing NADH. Many people are not able to sufficiently convert the raw vitamin B3 to the activated form which is vital for optimal health.
